The Windy City was lucky to already get a glimpse of TWICE when the global K-pop queens headlined Lollapalooza, though there was simply no comparing their American festival debut, as entertaining and exhilarating as it was, to the sheer scope or spectacle of the “THIS IS FOR” World Tour.

In fact, it filled all 360-degrees of the United Center on an otherwise mundane Monday (pictured) and Tuesday, where for over two hours on the latter, the vocal talents of Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina and Tzuyu were set to stunning choreography, despite Dahyun and Chaeyoung being absent due to injuries.

TWICEDivided into four acts, TWICE turned in several selections from the tour’s namesake album, the even newer “Ten: The Story Goes On” released after it began and tons of other key tracks dating back about a decade.

The bubbly bursts of opener “THIS IS FOR” let the entire ONCE fandom know its happiness was the superstar girl group’s top priority and that turned out to be quite a winning “Strategy” throughout “SET ME FREE,” “MOONLIGHT SUNRISE” and more.

The sea of blinking light sticks only expanded as the second stretch featured “The Feels” of “CRY FOR ME,” “HELL IN HEAVEN,” “RIGHT HAND GIRL” and a futuristic, cube-styled screen hovering high above floor-spanning staging, which guaranteed any seat would be a winner.

The third segment shifted towards solos and sub-units, shining a light on members’ individual flavors and fashions, culminating in Jeongyeon and Jihyo’s rendition of “TAKEDOWN” off the “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack.

TWICE really brought out the bangers during the fourth round when “FANCY,” “What Is Love?,” “YES or YES,” “Dance The Night Away” and “ONE SPARK” had the amped-up arena collectively jumping with joy.

An encore made everyone “Feel Special,” especially when it came to dance challenge shown on the video screens, and by request, “Alcohol-Free” to sweetly end the effervescent evening on the most natural high imaginable.TWICE
