Allstate feels the country connection of Kane Brown, Tyler Hubbard and Parmalee “In The Air”

Billboard once predicted Kane Brown would be “the future of country music,” and now a decade after gradually building up a grassroots fan base on social media, he’s a bonafide an A-lister who’s selling out arenas, amphitheaters and even select stadiums.

Demand to see him at the Allstate Arena on the “In The Air” Tour was so strong, additional sections on the sides and back corners of the venue had to be opened, but no matter where anyone was seated, the superstar singer made sure everyone could feel him coming to fulfill that prophecy.

Kane BrownWhile Brown is unquestionably and authentically country, there’s a fair amount of pop, hip-hop and electronics in his unconventional equation, which has led to considerable crossover opportunities beyond his eleven core genre chart-toppers.

“Bury Me In Georgia” got the party going in his primary lane as the headliner was epically lowered from the ceiling, followed by the bursting beats of the Marshmello collaboration “One Thing Right” and the riffs of “What Ifs,” each revealing additional components of a gargantuan production sporting lasers, lifts and explosions.

The tour’s namesake, which takes its unforgettable drum loop sample from the similarly titled Phil Collins track, came closely around the corner, in addition to fellow newcomers “Fiddle In The Band” and “Haunted,” all slated for an upcoming album.

In the meantime, he delivered a bunch from “Experiment” and “Different Man” especially, moving to a back platform to cover the standard “Georgia On My Mind” and “Good As You,” then resuming the main stage action to “Thank God” alongside his dueting wife Katelyn Brown and “Lose It” with the rest of the amped-up crowd.

Support acts Tyler Hubbard and Parmalee also appeared for a jovial version “Famous Friends” as the 90-minute set made its way towards all the remaining touchtones of the “Like I Love Country Music” leader in the midst of leaping up to the next level.

Kane BrownSpeaking of Hubband, the former Florida Georgia Line member turned solo artist peppered in group’s greatest (“Meant To Be,” “Cruise”) with his own “5 Foot 9” and “Dancin’ In The Country,” plus punchy picks off the sophomore project “Strong.”

Openers Parmalee brought loads of its own southern-infused hooks and harmonies from “For You” and earlier, culminating in the smashes “Carolina” and “Take My Name” to enhance an already potent combination.
