The annual holiday-themed tradition known as 103.5 KISS FM’s Jingle Ball is always stacked with superstars representing all flavors of pop music, but the 2022 edition easily took the roster to the next level.

The iHeartRadio event was, of course, sold out at the Allstate Arena, thanks a top-line led by Pitbull, Khalid and Jack Harlow, along with loads of support from Macklemore, Tate McRae, Ava Max, Jax and Nicky Youre.

Rapper/party animal Pitbull naturally closed the three-hour extravaganza with a whirlwind of bangers from the last decade, all beefed up with a live band, dancers, videos and plumes of smoke.

“Mr. Worldwide” had everyone ordering some “Hotel Room Service,” screaming “Timber,” plus dancing like there was no tomorrow come “Time Of Our Lives,” “Give Me Everything” and a slew of other sizzling, life-affirming grooves.

R&B singer/songwriter Khalid is no stranger to filling venues of this size all by himself, which made him feel right at home breezing through such soulful smashes as “Young, Dumb & Broke,” “Talk” and “East Side,” amongst other chart-toppers.

Fellow rapper Jack Harlow, fresh off a sophomore project, “Come Home The Kids Miss You,” continues a meteoric rise, already boasting well over seven billion streams in a mere couple of years, including the massive “Industry Baby” and “First Class,” which were truly “poppin’” at every confident turn.

“Thrift Shop” and “Can’t Hold Us” hit maker Macklemore may have taken a half-decade off between projects, but picked right back up at the top of the hip-hop heap with an electrifying overview that went back to his earliest origins with DJ/producer Ryan Lewis.

From the front half, Ava Max especially stood out thanks to towering vocals and vibrant chorography accompanying the unforgettable ear candy of “Kings & Queens,” “Maybe You’re The Problem” and “Million Dollar Baby.”

Other notable warm-ups included Nicky Youre (“Sunroof”), Tate McRae (“You Broke Me First”) and Jax (“Victoria’s Secret”), all of whom fully embodied the trendsetting present, while pointing towards what’s to come on iHeart Radio and 103.5 KISS FM well beyond the most wonderful time of the year.
