The most prominent names representing several shades of pop music converged on the Allstate Arena for 103.5 KISS FM’s Jingle Ball, the annual iHeartRadio mini-festival filled with over three hours of A-listers, up-and-comers and nothing but humongous hits.

Room temperature definitely got “Hot In Herre” by the time the legendary Nelly charismatically closed out the marathon, featuring the dance floor fillers “Where The Party At” and “Ride Wit Me,” alongside smooth grooves “Dilemma” and “Just A Dream.”

It turned out to be “A Very Teddy Christmas” as well courtesy of Teddy Swims and the phenomenal Freak Freely band, who soulfully crooned and jammed their way through “Bad Dreams,” “Hammer To The Heart,” “All That Really Matters, “Lose Control” and “The Door.”

NellyAfter extensively supporting Tate McRae, Sweden’s Zara Larsson may very well be next to follow in her footsteps, thanks to a electronic burst of “Midnight Sun” beats building upon a decade of a steadily euphoric “Symphony.”

“Mean Girls” actress/mega solo artist, Reneé Rapp, brought the best of the “Bite Me” album, such as the assertive sugar rushes “Leave Me Alone” and “At Least I’m Hot,” though there was still a hint of her “Snow Angel” side and a soaring Broadway range.

Rapper/writer/dancer Jackson Wang is already a staple of the K-pop, plus really “Let Loose” to make a wider mainstream splash, bolstered by the bass-boosting likes of “MAGICMAN2” selections “Hate To Love” and “Made Me A Man.”

Singer/songwriter Jessie Murph, sporting a vintage beehive hairdo, dove head over heels into the sultry “Sex Hysteria” era, banging out “Blue Stripes” and many other gritty country meets hip-hop flavors sure to soon fill venues of similar size within seconds.

Hard rockers Shinedown took a fiery approach to the brand new “Three Six Five,” stripped it down for “A Symptom Of Being Human,” then threw it back to the bone-crunching “Second Chance” and “Sound Of Madness,” shouting out the radio as being responsible for its success.

This was also a homecoming of sorts for Ravyn Lenae, the R&B singer/songwriter responsible for “Love Me Not,” who demonstrated a sweet, charming and chill presence that it was no wonder why SZA, Rapp and Sabrina Carpenter asked her to open.

Having already risen to recognition as a co-writer on Gracie Abrams’ colossal “The Secret Of Us” long-player, a refreshingly down to earth Audrey Hobert debuted heartfelt and instantly relatable “Who’s The Clown?” earworms “Bowling Alley,” “Thirst Trap” and “Sue Me.”

There was even a sing-a-long segment from the animated Netflix juggernaut “K-POP Demon Hunters,” fresh off its trio of Golden Globe nominations, which ranked right up there when it came to audience enthusiasm, in addition to a surprise “Silent Treatment” cameo by Disney regular Freya Skye.

Although the Chicagoland edition is now another full year away, the spirit of the epic event lives on when Z100’s Jingle Ball goes live from Madison Square Garden on Friday, December 12 via the free iHeartRadio app, followed by an ABC broadcast of tour highlights on Wednesday, December 17 and Hulu a day later.
