United Center “Livin’ La Vida Loca” thanks to the “Trilogy” of Enrique, Pitbull, Ricky Martin

Previous Latin pop combinations of Enrique Iglesias, Pitbull and Ricky Martin have proven immensely popular, but put them all together, and “The Trilogy” Tour is truly unbeatable.

In a packed start to a United Center stand, continuing on Thursday, November 2, the peers and pals, backed by live bands, each turned in a super tight hour of Spanish singles and crossover chart-toppers, though no matter the language, it was always a party.

The alternating slots started with Ricky Martin and his line of dancers, who after an explosive opening of “Pégate,” “María” and “Adrenalina,” also featuring Wisin and Jennifer Lopez on record, had everyone “Shake Your Bon Bon.”

PitbullHe continued tapping into the ubiquitous side of the 1990s come the throbbing bounce of “She Bangs,” though could just as easily croon and captivate on the slower side of “Vuelve.”

The pace really reached a pinnacle thanks to “Livin’ La Vida Loca,” which could’ve easily been the conclusion had it not been for the rousing call and response prompted by a euphoric drink from “The Cup Of Life.”

Up next, Iglesias made sure to let the United Center know “Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You)” and kept the sentiment going with “Be With You,” eventually dancing his way around “Bailamos” and serenading fans up close on a secondary stage.

His own “Escape” and the Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)” made the arena feel like a sweaty club, as did the Pitbull studio collaboration “I Like It,” though sadly and strangely, they didn’t recreate the moment together.

Even so, Enrique came up a “Hero,” particularly during “El Perdón,” normally with Nicky Jam, and “Bailando,” all proving he could singlehandedly command a crowd like few others.

Last but certainly not least, Pitbull and his flashy entourage brought basically nothing but bangers, starting ever so appropriately with “Don’t Stop The Party” and delivering other standouts, such as “Hey Baby (Drop It To The Floor)” and “Hotel Room Service.”

PitbullThe solo superstar is of course no stranger to being featured alongside others, which he touched upon via Daddy Yankee’s “Gasolina,” Jennifer Lopez’s “On The Floor” and Usher’s “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love.”

However, Mr. Worldwide especially captivated after yelling “Timber,” making sure everyone had the “Time Of Our Lives,” while seizing every moment just like those who appeared earlier in the endlessly entertaining evening.
