Alternative/gothic rock innovators The Cure don’t come around all that often anymore, which made the United Center sell out in seconds for the “Shows Of A Lost World” Tour. It turns out Robert Smith and company were as generous as ever, from a three-hour set that started with the sublime pairing “Alone” and “Pictures Of You,” to fairly priced tickets, thanks in part to the always dependable independent concert promoter Jam Productions, and equally reasonable prices at the end of a mile-long line for merchandise.
