For 30 straight years, Jagged Edge has not only defined the R&B scene with a string of chart-topping singles, yet in a rare feat regarding any genre, has done so featuring the entirely original line-up.

Comprised of identical twin brothers Brian and Brandon Casey, Richard Wingo and Kyle Norman, the Grammy Award-winners are currently on the “Cuffing Season” Tour, joined by fellow veterans Lloyd and Eric Bellinger.

Jagged EdgeTogether, they partnered with Live Nation Urban and sold out every seat of the Arie Crown Theater, bringing a blend of dance-floor fillers and tender grooves throughout three hours.

There was no shortage of material for Jagged Edge to pull from given its stream of gold, platinum and multi-million sellers, on top of a brand new and aptly titled album, “All Original Parts, Vol. 1.”

From the very beginning, the Atlanta foursome made sure to let Chicago know this was “Where The Party At,” plus the place “I Gotta Be” and a “Good Luck Charm” as tight harmonies met the flashy choreography of eight dancers, the smooth sounds of six supporting musicians and the bonus beats of DJ Monae.

Jagged Edge’s predominately female fan base continued to swoon as the guys took a seat on a couple of couches to suavely present such powerhouses as “Healing,” “The Rest Of Our Lives” and “Without You.”

The guys rose to their feet to salute soldiers going off to war during “Goodbye,” changed lanes to “Put A Little Umph In It,” gave their “Promise” to stay true, then dropped “Let’s Get Married” in ballad and remix format as a double header to beat the winter blues.

Jagged EdgeIt might have been a minute since Lloyd recorded a long player, but after over two decades in the game, he still had a ton of standout tunes personally or with the major league likes of Ashanti, André 3000 and Lil Wayne, including passionate recollections of “You,” “Player’s Prayer,” “Tru,” “Southside” and “Lay It Down.”

Speaking of “Cuffing Season,” solo artist/A-list songwriter Bellinger named a trilogy of projects after the subject and also crooned his way around the current “It All Makes Sense,” impressing the Arie Crown with dynamite vocals and delivery that were a natural fit alongside these other soulful giants.
