At the turn of the millennium, Chicago’s own Disturbed was a pivotal force in helping transition hard rock and heavy metal towards the next generation, thanks in part to the strength of “The Sickness,” which went on to move over five million copies.

Now a quarter-century later, its earning a similar reaction when it comes to streams and ticket sales, filling up much of the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on a mere Tuesday, where front man David Draiman, guitarist Dan Donegan, drummer Mike Wengren and bassist John Moyer not only performed the entire debut album in its entirely, but followed with a second set of later hits.

DisturbedBetween both halves, there sure was a lot of influential alternative ground to cover, such as the neck-snapping singles “Voices,” “The Game,” “Stupify” and “Down With The Sickness” as if barely a moment had passed since they debuted.

By committing to the complete collection, Disturbed had a chance to dig deeper into the pummeling likes of “Fear,” “Numb,” “Conflict,” “Droppin’ Plates” and “Meaning Of Life,” plus an even more ferocious stamp on Tears For Fears’ “Shout 2000.”

Following a few other originals from the subsequent years, including “Ten Thousand Fists,” “I Will Not Break” and “Bad Man,” the guys applied the same kind of transformation towards Genesis’ “Land Of Confusion” and Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sound Of Silence.”

Regardless of the source, Disturbed was always “Indestructible,” right down to embracing “The Light” and fearlessly going “Inside The Fire” for an explosive ending to two epic and theatrical hours, prior to officially coming home to the United Center on Saturday, March 8.

DisturbedThree Days Grace provided another sturdy source of melodic mayhem, especially considering original singer Adam Gontier returned to the fold, allowing the longstanding band to fully deliver the contagious cuts “Animal I Have Become,” “I Hate Everything About You,” “Never Too Late” and “Riot,” alongside the brand new “Mayday.”

Openers Sevendust have been around just as long, bringing bone crunchers “Black,” “Denial,” “Enemy” and “Praise” to a head-banging audience who knew to arrive early for the monstrous marathon.
