Lainey Wilson, Eric Church, Nickelback and Koe Wetzel lead a colossal Country Thunder
(Source: Country Thunder Media Relations) Following July’s epic four-day bash in Twin Lakes, Country Thunder Wisconsin will return with a jam-packed, all-star lineup featuring Lainey Wilson, Eric Church, Nickelback, Koe Wetzel & so many more. The show returns next July 18th to 21st, 2024.
“The fans in Wisconsin are always ready for a good time, and our 2024 lineup is going to take that party to new heights,” says Country Thunder Music Festivals CEO, Troy Vollhoffer. “Since their respective debuts at our festival in Twin Lakes, Eric Church and Lainey Wilson are artists we continually get asked for again and again, so we’re excited to have them both back in July. And there’s no question Nickelback and Koe Wetzel will bring a new type of energy to the stage that will have the entire crowd on their feet. We are anticipating a festival like no other in 2024!”
After blowing everyone away in 2023, CMA Entertainer of the Year and multi-award winning singer songwriter and actress, Lainey Wilson, will be bringing the heat back to Wisconsin as a headliner in 2024. As the leading female nominee and winner at the 2023 CMA & ACM awards the newly titled CMA Entertainer of the Year has proved to be quite the “artist to watch.” After topping the country radio charts, Wilson scored her second No. 1 hit, “Never Say Never” with Cole Swindell and recently achieved her third and fourth No. 1 songs with “Heart Like a Truck” and her HARDY collaboration “wait in the truck”. Her current radio single “Watermelon Moonshine” just cracked the Top 5, making it her 5th song to do so, while becoming the fastest solo female song to reach the Top 10 since 2018. Wilson’s sophomore and critically-acclaimed album, Bell Bottom Country, reached No. 15 on Billboard’s Top Albums Chart and No. 9 on Billboard’s Country Albums Chart after quickly rising to No. 1 on iTunes charts, amassing over 650 million streams to date. She’s showing no sign of slowing down, and we can’t wait to celebrate all the further accolades and successes she’s sure to achieve leading up to her performance in Twin Lakes.
A seven-time ACM Award winner, four-time CMA Award winner (including the 2020 award for Entertainer of the Year) and 10-time GRAMMY nominee, Eric Church is sure to bedazzle the crowd when he returns to Country Thunder Wisconsin. In his established and honored career, Church has amassed a passionate fanbase around the globe known as the Church Choir as well as a critically acclaimed catalog of music. Church’s most recent critically acclaimed and chart-topping project “Heart & Soul” features the Gold-certified No. 1 “Hell of a View” and recent Top 5 hit “Heart On Fire”. The superstar boasts 30 Gold, Platinum and multi-Platinum certified singles that the Country Thunder Wisconsin crowd is sure to be singing along at the top of their lungs next summer.
The Thunder goes beyond country in 2024, with the addition of 2023 Canadian Music Hall of Fame recipients, and Diamond-certified selling group Nickelback, who were named the “most successful rock band of the decade” by Billboard in 2009. Globally celebrated for their career defining and award-winning hits “How You Remind Me,” “Photograph,” “Far Away,”, “Rockstar,” and more, the four-piece comprised of Chad Kroeger, Ryan Peake, Mike Kroeger, and Daniel Adair is one of the most commercially viable and important acts of the past two decades. Their success includes worldwide sales of more than 50-million units, solidifying their status as one of the top-selling acts of all time and the second best-selling foreign act in the U.S., in the 2000’s decade, behind only The Beatles. Their inescapable and irresistible smash “How You Remind Me” was named Billboard’s ‘Top Rock Song of the Decade’ and was the number-one most played song on U.S. radio in the 2000’s according to Nielsen Soundscan, with over 1.2 million spins.
Amongst all of these accolades, they’ve also been named Billboard’s “Top Rock Group of the Decade” and received nine Grammy Award nominations, three American Music Awards, a World Music Award, a People’s Choice Award, twelve JUNO Awards, seven MuchMusic Video Awards, and have been inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame (2007) and the Canadian Music Hall of Fame (2023). With more than 23 chart-topping singles and fans spanning the globe, Nickelback boasts more than twelve consecutive sold-out world tours, playing to well over 10 million+ diehard and adoring fans. The band recently wrapped their 52 date North American leg of the Get Rollin’ Tour on October 5th and most recently debuted the documentary Hate To Love: Nickelback at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival.
The ultimate country rockstar Koe Wetzel is sure to shatter expectations and astonish the crowd next summer! This one-of-a-kind performer is constantly bulldozing the boundaries between Nashville songcraft, rowdy Texas spirit, and rainswept Seattle hard rock. After moving 1 million units under the radar and popping off as one of the hottest live performers in the game, he welcomed everyone to the party on his 2022 full-length offering, “Hell Paso” (Columbia Records). The Gold-selling singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer shakes up the status quo and sticks to his guns with a sound steeped in country storytelling, yet spiked with grunge grit. He’s unapologetic, undeniable, and unlike anyone else you’ve ever heard. Without anything to prove and nothing to lose, he continues to kick ass on his own terms. Breaking through with a series of independent releases and tallying over 1.3 billion streams to date, he has impressively notched three RIAA Gold-certified singles, including “February 28, 2016,” “Something To Talk About,” and “Drunk Driving.” He leaves a trail of sold-out venues and screaming fans in his wake wherever he goes, and he will be cranking up the party to new levels this summer.
On top of the four all-star headliners, Twin Lakes will welcome Bailey Zimmerman for the third year in a row, along with powerhouse Randy Houser, crooner Kip Moore, bluesy songstress Elle King, Phil Vassar, Ernest, Stephen Wilson Jr., Jake Worthington, The Bellamy Brothers, Randall King, Josh Ross, Meghan Patrick and even more to be announced in the weeks to come! Four-day passes, Platinum Experience, Reserved Seats, Reserved Standing, Camping and all the extras are available now at countrythunder.com or by phone at 1-866-388-0007.
