It’s official: Foos, Post, Tyler, Miley, plus Journey lead a full capacity with precautions Lollapalooza

After being shuttered like so much of the live entertainment industry last year and with ongoing speculation surrounding its current fate, the musical beast known is Lollapalooza is officially ready to roar back from hibernation come July 29 through August 1.

Tickets for the entire duration of the 30th anniversary mega event, which boasts more than 165 performances across eight stages in Grant Park, go on-sale at Noon on Wednesday, May 19 with single-day options coming around the corner.

Expect nothing short of a sell out now thanks to a stacked line-up of cross genre and generational acts led by veteran rock band Foo Fighters, hip-hop hitmakter Post Malone, pop superstar Miley Cyrus and rapper Tyler, The Creator.

The second tier also maintains its standard Lolla-level excellence, including DaBaby, Marshmello, Illenium, Journey, Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Ricch, plus the reunited Limp Bizkit, Brittany Howard (from Alabama Shakes) and Angels & Airwaves (featuring Blink-182’s Tom DeLonge).

Of course, the extended weekend extravaganza will also shine a spotlight on several burgeoning artists of all styles with additional must-see sets by Polo G, Kim Petras, Lauv, Dermot Kennedy, Jacob Banks and Max.

Though the highly heralded return will indeed be set at full capacity, there will be some COVID-19 precautions in place, such as proof of vaccination or a negative test result within 24 hours of attending each day.

A complete rundown on the entry process is expected in early July, though that gives any fans on the fence about getting inoculated a ton of time to visit VaccineFinder.org to finally make an appointment or two.

The annual tradition marks the first major undertaking in Chicago since the pandemic, and like always, its sure to attract the eyes of concertgoers from all across the world who are more than ready to resume the celebration that’s synonymous with summer.
