Jingle all the way to Allstate Arena for Bash with Katy Perry, Ball with Jonas Brothers
Radio show season is ramping up and the Chicago area is especially plentiful when it comes to concerts stacked with pop powerhouses.
While many cities only have one major station that brings the hits to the stage, the Windy City gets a double dose of the action thanks to B96’s Pepsi Jingle Bash and the 103.5 KISS FM Jingle Ball.
This “Cozy Little Christmas” begins when Katy Perry brings that latest single and a host of Super Bowl-filling fireworks to the B96 Bash on December 7.
She’s joined by the now solo Camila Cabello and Normani (both previously from Fifth Harmony), leading EDM man Marshmello, rapper Lil Tecca, singer/songwriter AJ Mitchell, plus a boy band bonanza from Monsta X and NCT 127.
The recently reunited Jonas Brothers top the KISS FM Jingle Ball on Dec. 18, turning in tunes from their latest long player, “Happiness Begins,” plus possible surprises from yesteryear.
In addition to that platinum-plus trio, the extensive bill boasts hip-hop heavyweight NF, former One Direction member Niall Horan, fellow boy band Why Don’t We, troubadour Lewis Capaldi, rising R&B singer Zara Larsson and indie/electropop group AJR.
In other words, it’s a toss-up between the two when it comes to the leading line-up, though with relatively reasonable ticket prices for both ensuring plenty of bang for the buck, checking out both is the safest bet.
Fans who don’t have that much cash at the moment need not fear as both stations promise giveaways galore on air and all around town, so keep on listening to each for all the details.
Katy Perry headlines the B96 Pepsi Jingle Bash at the Allstate Arena on Dec. 7. Jonas Brothers headline the 103.5 KISS FM Jingle Ball at the Allstate Arena on Dec. 18. For additional details, visit B96.com, 1035KISSFM.iHeart.com and Rosemont.com/Allstate/.
